ColourPop Hi-Maintenance Palette Review

I’m really impressed with the ColourPop Hi-Maintenance palette. I picked up one of the pre-made palette. They are also sold individually. There are 3 pre-made palettes of 4 shadows each which cost $18. Hi-Maintenance is a mix of metallic, satin and matte shadows.

The Hi-Maintenance Palette features four Pressed Powder Shadows that can easily be removed from the palette and popped into a Z-Palette. The palette itself is made of a sturdy cardboard that features a magnetic closure and a magnetized bottom to securely hold the Pressed Powder Shadows in place.

Just in Time: Satin soft gold

High Strung: Metallic dusty rose

Get Out: Matte cool cranberry

Cute Alert: Matte Deep Burgundy

If you’ve been debating about getting this pallet or not, do it! You won’t regret it. You can purchase it from

Huda Beauty Liquid Matte

Today I’m going to be talking about Huda Beauty liquid lipstick. I only purchased one shade, just to see if it’s worth it. Let me tell you it’s worth every penny. The pigmentation of this lipstick is high and the shades are not sticky. They have 16 shades.

I love the packaging. You can see the entire tube from the external box. The box slides out so you can get the tube. The bottle is frosted plastic and the wand applicator is actually really nice, it’s a typical applicator that you see on most liquid lipsticks but it makes it easy to apply.

The price point for this product is spot on and what I would expect to pay for a liquid lipstick. This lipstick has a coconut/vanilla scent to it. If you are not a fan of coconut, this probably isn’t for you. I had the product on for about 6 hours. The color stayed throughout.

definitely recommend these liquid lipsticks and will be picking up some more shades from the collection. You can purchase the liquid lipsticks from website for $20 USD each.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kits

Absolutely in love with the ABH glow kits. There are two kits available depending on the type of tone you prefer: That Glow (warm) and Gleam (cool). The powders are multipurpose and can be used on the face, eyes or body.

Let me start off by saying that the packaging is gorgeous. The kits are available on, Sephora and Ulta for $40 each. The colors are very smooth and easy to blend. Both kits come in a magnetized cardboard box and the pans in each kit are removable.

That Glow has warm gold tones with the following shades:

Sunburst is a pale yellow gold shimmer

Golden Bronze is a warm coppery golden bronze shimmer

Bubbly is shimmering soft champagne

Dripping in Gold is a shimmering champagne gold

Gleam has cool and neutral shimmers:

Hard Candy looks like a peachy coral in the pan, but it goes on an almost duo-chrome cool pink pearl

Mimosa is a shimmering light peach

Starburst is a shimmering pale frosted pink

Crushed Pearl is shimmering pale champagne

So, what do you think? Will you be getting these palettes?

Travel with me to Monte Carlo, Monaco

I love travel stories since I love to travel. I’m always looking for new blogs to satisfy my thirst. Today I will be sharing about one of my favorite cities I mean Country Monaco. Monaco is the second smallest country in the world. I stayed at the Fairmont Monte Carlo Resort. The service in Fairmont is top notch.

Hotel Fairmont Monte Carlo

I knew this city had money but the cars that you’d see here, the yachts, and the people walking around makes you continuously wonder how these people are that rich. We didn’t go inside the casino, because we’re not a big gambler. Also, we didn’t have much time. We only stayed there for two nights. The casino is a great place to visit, even just to see it from outside. You will hear the engine sound of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Bentleys, Rolls-Royces and about every other exclusive car you can think of.

There are so many local restaurants in Monte Carlo. Their food is really good. We had lunch at Le Loga. The restaurant is not too far from the casino, ten minutes’ walk. We went to Buddha bar at night, absolutely loved that lounge. It’s a sophisticated lounge has plenty to offer guests including exquisite Chinese fusion food and world music spun by DJ PAPA.

I enjoyed my time in Monaco. It was always in my bucket list to visit there and I was fortunate enough to fulfill it.

Anastasia Beverly Hills: Shadow Couture World Traveler Palette

I’ve finally received the Anastasia Beverly Hills World Traveler Palette. It’s sold out everywhere. I’ve checked at Sephora and Ulta. I ended up ordering it from It cost $30. The palette is beautiful inside and out. The packaging is really nice as well. The gold and black packaging looks very classy. Inside the palette there is a small mirror and a dual-side brush.

The ABH Shadow Couture palette consists of 12 eyeshadows with different finishes, from matte, subtle shimmers to bold metallic. They are soft, pigmented, easy to blend and don’t create too much fallout. The sizes of the pans of shadows aren’t huge, which may be disappointing for some, however I’d rather have many slightly smaller pans rather than a few big ones.

Top Three Primers Must Have

Smashbox Photo Finish Light Primer

This primer is very lightweight. It’s oil free! I’ve been using it for almost two years. This primer helps to mattify the skin and reduce shine in all areas of the skin. It elongates makeup length by a few hours. It helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and pores. I’m in love with this primer and this is my favorite! It’s $36. You can purchase it at Macy’s, Ulta or Sephora.

Tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer

I love love love this primer! After Smashbox, this is my favorite. This primer cost $39. It comes in a glass jar and apparently contains antioxidants as well as peptides. It acts to blur the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and pores. It has a very light fresh floral scent and a very creamy, thick texture so remember a little goes a long way. This primer contains Vitamins E and C to help fight free radical damage and brighten the skin.

Laura Mercier foundation Primer – Radiance

It’s known for minimizing the look of imperfections with a radiant finish. The price is $34. It’s creamy, liquid primer with a pearlescent. When worn alone, this primer does indeed leave skin looking more radiant, and under makeup the glow only slightly peeks through, depending on how much foundation, powder, or tinted moisturizer you apply over it. Overall, Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Radiance is like candlelight in a squeeze tube. It gives the perfect healthy glow to face and cheeks without every looking over done.

Urban Decay Smoky Palette Review

I’m such a huge fan of Urban Decay. The new Urban Decay Smoky Palette is the bomb! It has every piece you need for the perfect smoky eye. This palette is set up as the other three naked palettes. Naked Smoky comes in plastic packaging, looks sexier in person.

Featured image

Inside there is a full sized mirror and twelve eyeshadows. The first four shades are shimmery glittery finishes, next four are Urban Decay’s version of satin and the last four are buttery mattes. It also comes with a dual-ended brush. One side is the blending fluffy brush and the other end is a compact pencil brush.

The palette is $54 and it’s available at Sephora, Ulta and selected Macy’s store. The wear time is excellent. My eyelids are really oily and eyeshadows creases easily. I wore it for 12 hours, no creasing at all!

Overall I love this product. There’s such a wide range of colors you can use, you can definitely create a day-to-night look with just this one palette. The warmer colors are perfect for an everyday look, giving a softer appearance. You can then amp up your look for the night time using the darker, cooler shadows. Let me know your thoughts below 🙂
