NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette & NYX Wonder stick review

I finally got the NYX Wonder Stick and NYX Highlight and Contour Pro Palette. I ordered it from I went to Ulta couple of times to purchase it, but they were sold out every time. It comes in four shades: Light, Medium, Deep and Universal.

NYX Wonder Stick:

I heard a lot of mixed reviews about this product. It’s a double ended stick. One side has the highlight shade and the other side has the contouring shade. My NYX Wonder stick is in the shade medium. This product is extremely creamy! You have to set it with a setting powder. Otherwise your skin will look cakey, especially if you have oily skin. I like this product, but not super impressed with it. It’s very easy to use, especially for beginners. It didn’t give me the result I wanted, but I’m happy with it. This product cost $12 on

NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette:

Now, let me tell you about this palette, I love it! I’ve been using it for past couple of weeks and I’m really impressed. All eight powders are highly pigmented and easily blendable. The pans are removable and refillable and perfect for building your own customized pro palette. Apply the deepest shades to contour and define shades, next apply the lighter colors to areas you want to highlight and add luminosity too! It’s worth giving a shot for $25.

Get Dirty with Frank

Do you want to get dirty and want your skin to feel baby soft? Then Frank is your guy. Relax! I’m just talking about body scrub. The site shows two types of Frank. Original body scrub and coconut body scrub.

I bought the original therefor I can’t tell you about the coconut scrub. So, let me tell you about the original. It’s for “dry, flakey skin, targets cellulite, stretch marks, eczema and psoriasis.” I use it for stretch marks and acne scars.

Hop in the shower. Scoop a handful out, apply to damp skin and start scrubbing. I usually use it on my whole body and face. The instruction says 5-10 minutes. I wait full 10 minutes before rinsing off.

I’ve been using Frank for little over 6 months now. Honestly, I love it! It’s only $14.95 and lasts for a long time. I’m still using the first one I bought. I do see my stretch marks and acne scars are fading away. Ladies, who are trying to minimize stretch marks after pregnancy, must try this! Now, you’re not going to see a result overnight. Be patient and let Frank do the magic :-).

Try using frank at the end of your shower after washing your body so the hydrating film it leaves behind doesn’t wash off. Go messy, get dirty! It’s all worth it ;-).

I’m attaching the link with this blog. It’ll take you straight to Frank Body Scrub website. Enjoy!

Health & Fitness For Busy People

It’s very hard to maintain our health with our busy schedule. Making time for fitness is one of the most important aspects of a healthy and productive lifestyle, yet we often push it aside when life gets hectic. If you are a busy professional or a busy mom, you can relate to this topic more. Here are some exercises you can do anywhere and anytime of the day:

Running: If you are unlike me and an early bird, get up and go for running in the morning. Running has so many advantages:

  • Strengthens you lungs
  • Helps prevent high blood pressure
  • Weight control (it burns mega-calories)
  • Relieves stress – which is why I love running! I usually go after work. After a long and crazy day at work, running helps me to relief all my stress.
  • Physically strong legs
  • Increased confidence – Once you start running, your confidence begins to grow. You’ll feel more in control of your life and your body.

Chair dips: Now if you are like me, you’ll enjoy this exercise. You can do this anywhere and anytime of the day. It’s great or strengthening your triceps. All you need is a chair! As you sit upright on the edge of the chair, place your hands on the chair next to your hips. Your arms are straight and your fingers hang off the chair’s edge. Your knees are bent with your feet flat on the floor. The weight of your body is supported in your hands as you slide your hips off the chair. Perform the dip by bending your elbows to lower yourself and then straighten your arms to return to the starting position.

Lunges: You can lunge anywhere, to your kitchen, driveway, just about anywhere. Lunges involve lunging forward on one foot to actively engage the quadriceps, glutes, hamstrings, calves, and core. Lunges are versatile exercises that can be done virtually anywhere simply using your body’s own weight. While no single exercise can provide all the necessities for a healthy body and toned physique alone.

Featured imageSquats: My favorite! If you want a perfect booty, do squat people! It tones the leg, lifts the butt, strengthens the core and increases flexibility. How to do a common basic squat Exercise:

  1. Stand with your feet hip width apart.
  2. Tighten and pull in your abdominal muscles.
  3. Lower your body as if you were going to sit in a chair. Keep the motion slow.
  4. Stop when your legs are parallel to the floor.
  5. Stay in this position for a few seconds
  6. Press down onto your heels and slowly rise back up to a standing position.
  7. Repeat the exercise for a total of 2 to 3 sets of 8 to 12 reps.
  8. Be sure to rest for 60 to 90 seconds between sets.
